The View, featuring Emmy® award-winning hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, is ABC’s popular morning talk and entertainment program showcasing a team of dynamic women of different ages, experiences and backgrounds discussing the most exciting events of the day. 

Joy Behar’s announced departure provides an opportunity to bring in a new voice and perspective beginning next season. 

The View made television history at the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards when the Outstanding Talk Show Host award was bestowed upon all the co- hosts—the first time multiple winners were so honored. 

The show consists of hot topics in the news, the best experts in their field, celebrity and newsmaker interviews, and general entertainment. 

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg is enormously popular and talented, and one of only four actresses to have won an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy award. Television and film actress and stand-up comedian Sherri Shepherd starred in the ABC sit-com, Less Than Perfect, and Lifetime sit-com, Sherri. Elisabeth Hasselbeck has proven herself a strong addition to The View, willing to express her conservative views, adding balance to the panel. 

Barbara Walters’ ground-breaking exclusive interviews with world figures and her enterprising reporting have made her one of the most highly acclaimed journalists on television. She has received worldwide recognition for her work and has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. Her interviews and reports appear regularly on the ABC weekly newsmagazine “20/20” and in “The Barbara Walters Specials.” Ms. Walters joined ABC News in 1976 as the first woman to co-host the network news.
