The Oscars® is the highest-rated prime entertainment special of the year. Millions tune in to watch the glamorous ceremony and learn who will receive the highest honors in filmmaking. The 2013 telecast was  the 2nd high-rated Oscar® show since 2005!

The 2013 Oscars® drew over 40 million total viewers and grew year over year on all key demos. The show achieved a 13.0 A18-49 rating, which is 11% growth versus last year, and attracted more young fans with 20% growth among A18-34. Additionally, the Oscars® is consistently the top entertainment special for reaching affluent and educated viewers, with indices of 155+ among A18-49 with a household income of at least $100K+ and 4+ years of college education.

In 2013, Oscar®  fans spent more than 53 million minutes consuming content on Oscar.com and the Oscar App, up 11% versus YAG. Unique Users grew by 25% versus last year resulting in 11.7 Million fans. There were more than 8.9 million Oscar-related tweets for the 2013 telecast, which is up 70% from 2012.
