Each fall, the American Music Awards celebrates the latest and greatest talents of the contemporary music scene. Twenty award categories honor the hottest names in music today, from powerful pop divas to sensational R&B and Rock acts, rewarding exceptional artists for their abilities to inspire and excite audiences all over the world. And unlike other awards shows, winners are determined by fans who vote online.

The 2012 telecast drew over 8.7 million total viewers and featured performances by Ke$ha, The Wanted, Carrie Underwood, P!nk, Psy, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and Usher, among many others. The American Music Awards is also one of the Top 5 awards shows of the year among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, and it is the #1 awards special in 4th quarter for family viewing among adults 25-54, women 18-49, and women 25-54.

The show, founded by Dick Clark in 1973, will  be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A during November 2013.
